Kerstmis staat weer voor de deur en dat betekent eindeloos veel kerstfilms kijken. Op tv worden we er nog net niet mee doodgegooid en ook op Netflix en Videoland neemt het aanbod toe. Echter zijn er naast de newbies als Holidate en The Princess Switch: Switched Again, en klassiekers die we allemaal wel kennen, ook nog een hoop films die écht de moeite waar zijn om te kijken.

Leukste kerstfilms 2020
Laat ik beginnen met een bekentenis: ik heb Love Actually nog nooit helemaal afgekeken, en ik kijk ieder jaar rond kerst ook niet uit naar de Home Alone-films. Misschien een onpopulaire mening, maar ik vind 'm cheesy. Dat betekent echter niet dat ik geen sucker voor bepaalde kerstfilms ben. Zo kan ik meerdere keren achter elkaar The Best Man Holiday kijken – check hiervoor ever de eerste film uit 1999, en behoort ook This Christmas met onder anderen Regina King en Idris Elba tot mijn all time favourites. Ook heel belangrijk: deze films bestaan uit bijna alleen maar zwarte acteurs. Iets wat in de klassiekers die op tv worden uitgezonden helaas vaak niet het geval is.
